Billy ("Mr. Bill" or "Dea") Smith

July 20, 1944 ~ August 19, 2019 (age 75) 75 Years Old

Billy Smith Life and Time

BILLY SMITH, affectionately known as "Mr. Bill" or "Dea", was born to the late Mr. Jim Davis and Mrs. Bessie Pierson Smith on July 20, 1944, in Prattville, Alabama. He attended school in Bullock County, Alabama. At a young age, he moved to South Florida. Billy was very active in serving GOD; he worked with many choirs and the gospel recording group "Little Kelly and Five Gospel Sons" of Hollywood, Florida. In the year of 1983, Bill was united in marriage to the late Mrs. Geneva Hopson Smith, and their union was known for spiritually serving GOD and serving communities with their talent of cooking. Upon retiring from Broward County, he moved to Donalsonville, Georgia. He later became a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.

Mr. Billy Smith departed his earthly life on Monday, August 19, 2019, unexpectedly. He was loved and respected by many; he will truly be missed by those who knew him. He was preceded in death by sisters,

brothers and his grandson Keshon Smith.

He leaves to cherish special memories five children: Minnie Smith Hooks (Michal) of Montgomery, AL, Billy K. Smith of Donalsonville, GA, Marion S. Smart (Jerome) of Montgomery, AL, Christopher Smith (Kenyatta) of Bellville, MI, and Sephenia Moore (LaDolphus) of Montgomery, AL; three stepchildren: Cheryl Blanks (Teddy) of Dothan, AL, Milton Green of Hollandale, FL, and Regina Green of Davie, FL; eight granddaughters: Tekeviac Smith, Chavongela Smith, Sarenua Hammonds, all of Montgomery, AL, DeDasha Hooks of Tuscaloosa, AL, Chelesa Smith of Atlanta, GA, Katosha Neal of Notasulga, AL, Ahna Smith, and Asia Smith, both of Bellville, MI; eight grandsons: Quinton Smith, Jackie Banks Jr., Anthony Hooks Jr., Jaceon Moore, all of Montgomery, AL, Billy K. Smith Jr. of Birmingham, AL, Keenen Cartwright of Cookeville, TN, Martez Brunson (Shay) of Marietta, GA, and Gregory Jones of Clayton, AL; three stepgranddaughters: Felecia Graham of Dothan, AL, Stacey Moore of Donalsonville, GA, and Diamond Graham of Davie, FL; six stepgrandsons: Sandy Graham Jr. (Shawna), Michael Mason II, both of Hollywood, FL, Milton Green Jr. of Byron, GA, Daniel Graham (Monique) of Pompano Beach, FL, Reginald Mason (Denise) of Annapolis, MD, and Kevin Grayson of Atlanta, GA; twenty great grandchildren; nineteen step great grandchildren; two sisters, Sarah Cope of Birmingham, AL, and Almatine Walker of Detroit, MI; and a host of aunts, uncles, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends.

If we left out anyone, please charge it to our heads and not our hearts.   Bill loved everybody, and everybody was family. We thank everybody for loving him back.
