Parthenia Leonard Life and Time

Parthenia Brown Leonard was born September 8, 1954 in Donalsonville, Seminole County, Georgia to the late Solomon Brown and Georgia Lee Brown.

She attended Seminole County Training School and continued on to receive her Licensed Practical Nurse degree from Bainbridge College in Bainbridge, Georgia. She proudly worked as a nurse until she retired.

Parthenia accepted JESUS CHRIST as her LORD and SAVIOR at an early age at Antioch Freewill Baptist Church, where she served as Church Secretary and a member of Antioch choir. Later in life she moved to Riverdale, Georgia where she joined Woods Memorial Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the Reverend Tony Mosley in College Park, Georgia.

Parthenia was married to the late Collie L. Leonard, Jr., in August 1972, where they raised four children and one stepson.

Parthenia peacefully joined her Heavenly Father on July 24, 2019. Her parents, brother, Leroy Brown and her grandson, Rico L. Rawls, Jr., preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memories three lovely daughters, Georgia Brown Jones (Eddie) of Fairburn, Georgia, Tiffany Q. Rawls (Demetrius) of Stone Mountain, Georgia, Cassandra Leonard Johnson (Andre) of Stockbridge, Georgia; one son: Collie L. Leonard III (Tessa) of Ellenwood, Georgia; two stepsons: DeCarlos Ford of Blakely, Georgia and Ronald French (Michell) of Pensacola, Florida; eight grandchildren: Eferm X. Blount, Jr., Ariyana Rawls, Quinton Blount, Treasure Odom, Ta’Varis Odom, Arianna Leonard, Preston Leonard and Kamri; four great-grandchildren: two brothers: Robert Brown and Hubert Brown of Donalsonville, Georgia; five sisters: Annie Mae Williams, Loubertha Pollock, Patricia Guyton (Scott) all of Miami, Florida, Sheila Brown of Valdosta, Georgia and Amanda Rambo (Henry) of Donalsonville, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews whom she cherished; other relatives and sorrowing friends.
