Samuel Freeman Johnson (Pete), son of the late Charlie Mae and James Register, was born on March 22, 1952, in Seminole County, Georgia. He passed on Tuesday, March 5, 2019.
He attended and graduated from Seminole County Training School in Donalsonville, Georgia. He also attended Albany State College in Albany, Georgia. He served honorably in the United States Navy for four years.
Samuel attended meetings with the congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses until he was admitted into the nursing home. There he continued to study the Bible with the Witnesses and looked forward to a new world when pain and suffering will be no more.
To cherish his memory, Samuel leaves behind six sisters: Pauline Greene (Donald), Lisa Webb, both of Donalsonville, GA, Earline Battle, Delores Curry (Arthur), Violet Gelin, and Tammy Register, all of Thomasville, GA; and four brothers: Lorenza Johnson, Morgan Register (Laretha), James Register, all of Donalsonville, GA, and Thomas Register (Sandra) of Cairo, GA. Samuel was blessed with numerous nieces and nephews, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
