Attorney Alice Faye Katrina Brown Rodriguez was born to the late Reverend Jasper Ross Brown Sr. and the late Ruby Marie Moore Brown on March 15, 1960, in the city of Donalsonville, Georgia. She attended the public school system of Seminole County. Alice’s strong academic performance and outstanding athletic accomplishments on the basketball court earned her admission to the University of Georgia. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communications and a minor in Political Science. She earned a Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1986 with Moot Court Honors.
After passing the Bar, Alice was the first female attorney hired by a prestigious law firm in Atlanta, Georgia. She was also the first black woman in over 200 years to clerk on the Georgia Court of Appeals. Alice started her own private practice at the age of 29, where she earned a well-known reputation for her Godly character and professional competence. Alice also developed a nationally recognized marketing company earning top 1% honors nationwide for over 25 years.
On September 28, 2002, after a lengthy courtship and her Daddy’s approval, Alice married the love of her life, Anthony P. Rodriguez (“Tony”). United for over 21 years, she and Tony lived a purpose-filled, Holy Spirit-inspired, and deeply devoted life together working to make Kingdom impact on everything upon which they put their hands.
Full of the Holy Ghost, Alice was a God-fearing walking epistle. She loved THE LORD JESUS, and being a vessel for HIM was most important to her. She committed herself to the Kingdom building work of GOD throughout her life.
Alice peacefully departed her earthly life at home with husband and eldest brother by her side on Sunday, November 12, 2023, in Fayetteville, Georgia. When recently asked what do you want your legacy to be, she replied “Trust GOD, Love People, Serve People”. She will be deeply missed.
Alice leaves to mourn her passing her beloved husband Anthony P. Rodriguez; two brothers Jasper Ross Brown Jr. (Gwendolyn) and Derrell Lamar Brown (Karen); and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives, friends and business family.
