Andrea Yvette "Sweetpea" (Bowden) Collins

Andrea Yvette Collins, affectionately called “Sweetpea”, was born November 11, 1964, to Mr. Melvin Bowden and Mrs. Eva Bowden.  Mrs. Collins attended the Seminole County Public School System while residing with her late grandmother, Mrs. Grace Shepard.

"Sweetpea" was joined as one with the love of her life, Deacon Ivory Joe Collins.  He preceded her in death on March 23, 2011.

Sister Collins was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Lou Gene Bush.  Later, she moved her membership to Saint Matthew Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Patrick Gilley, Sr., serving until her health failed.

She departed her earthly life on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at Memorial Manor in Bainbridge, Georgia.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and uncles: George “Smokey” Brown, Douglas “Billy” Shephard and Calvin Bowden.

"Sweetpea" leaves to cherish her memories one brother, Shaun Walker of Louisiana; two sisters-in-law, Angela Austin of North Carolina and Sheila Collins of Bainbridge, GA; three aunts:  Shirley Moore (Shelly) of Donalsonville, GA, Bessie Brown of Dothan, AL, and Alberta Shephard of Orlando, FL; one uncle, Willie Fred Shephard (Deloris) of Orlando, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, loving cousins, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
