Annie Baker Life and Time

Ms. Annie Doris Baker died on Thursday, August 22, 2019.

She was born November 9, 1948, in Colquitt, Georgia, to Dorothy M. Baker, who preceded her in death.

She was preceded in  death also by eleven siblings: Annie Lucile (the late Paul); Mildred, Donna (Anthony), both of Atlanta, Georgia; Barbara (Robert) of Colquitt; Helen, Marilyn (Roger), both of Bainbridge, Georgia; Buddy (Mable), Marvin (Aremo Jean), Randy (Cammie), all of Colquitt, Georgia, Terry (Margaret) of Atlanta and Robert of Bainbridge.

She leaves behind one aunt, Hazel Coney of Miami, Florida; two very special friends/sisters: Mrs. Barbara Brown and daughter, Cassandra Brown Kelly and Ms. Dottie Jackson and daughter, Andrea Bloodsaw all of Atlanta; twenty-nine nieces and nephews; forty great nieces and great nephews; fourteen great-great nieces and great-great nephews; and a host of friends.

Annie Doris faithfully attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses for many years, where she was an active member. She was baptized March 13, 1971. She loved Jehovah very much and was well known for sharing in the preaching work that God’s Son Jesus commanded true Christians to preach in Acts 5:42.

Doris loved to do the work that Jehovah instructed His Son Jesus Christ to do. She loved the ministry and used every opportunity she could to share the good news with others; her enjoyment was shown through doing Bible studies with people. She followed Jesus’ example here at Acts 5:42. Despite her chronic health issues, she still preached, believing in a time when there will be no more sickness or death on the earth and when we will have perfect health; and she truly believed this.

She loved her family very much and enjoyed cooking for them and friends. Annie Doris touched so many lives; she showed love to everyone. She will be truly missed by her family and friends.

One of her favorite scriptures of trusting in Jehovah was Romans 14:8, "For if we live, we live to Jehovah, and if we die, we die to Jehovah. So, both if we live and if we die, we belong to Jehovah". She knew she would faithfully be obedient to her Heavenly Father, Jehovah.
