Bertha L. (Nixon) Brannon

Bertha Lee Nixon Brannon, known as “Bert” to her family, was born December 29, 1959, in Donalsonville, Georgia, to Adriana “Sister” Bullock and Jimmy L. Nixon Sr.  She accepted CHRIST as her Personal SAVIOR and answered GOD’S Call on May 3, 2025.

Bertha was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Regina Nixon Grimsley, sisters Brenda Nixon and Roberta Nixon, and brother Donnie Bullock Sr.

She leaves to cherish her memories a loving granddaughter, LaKendra Grimsley of Bainbridge, Georgia; son-in-law, Kenneth Grimsley of Bainbridge, Georgia; two sisters, Judy Conway of Springhill, Florida, and Beatrice Nixon of New York; two brothers, Sterick Jerome Nixon and Jimmy Nixon Jr. (Jenny), both of St. Petersburg, Florida; one aunt; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
