Deaconess Blanche R. Lewis was born on September 24, 1956 in Donalsonville, Georgia to the late Mr. Johnny B. Rambo Sr. and Mrs. Juanita Hollis Rambo. She was also known as "Mrs. Blanche". She was a member of Oak City Missionary Baptist Church, where she served faithfully in many capacities until her health failed.
Deaconess Lewis graduated from Seminole County High School in 1974. She attended Albany Junior College, obtaining a Certificate in its Clerical Program in 1977. She served as the Worthy Matron of Evening Breeze Chapter #335 Order of the Eastern Star in Donalsonville. She retired as Owner and Florist of Moore’s Flower Shop and had a column in the local newspaper entitled "Blanche’s Corner".
On Saturday, May 20, 2017, THE LORD called Blanche Lewis Home to Rest. She was preceded in death by five aunts and two uncles. She leaves to cherish her precious memories a loving husband of 39 years, Deacon Winford L. Lewis of Donalsonville, GA; two kids, Valenceia Yvette Lewis of Donalsonville, GA and Wilfred Le’Nard Lewis (Jessica) of Valdosta, GA; a special granddaughter, La’Gabrille "KiKi" Lewis of Donalsonville, GA; six additional grandchildren; one sister, LaJoyce "Cuda" R. Daniels of Donalsonville, GA; two brothers, Shirell "Buddy" Rambo (Lois) of Donalsonville, GA and Johnny "Boy" Rambo Jr. of Chattanooga, TN; one aunt, Marvette Hollis Rivers of Headland, AL; several nieces and nephews, as well as many friends who cared for "Mrs. Blanche".
