Charity Lillian McCray Wynn ("Boo Nanny", "Mur") was born July 24, 1930, to the parentage of Lucille Williams and Lonnie McCray. She was joined in Holy Matrimony to Jessie Wynn, who preceded her in death. To this union three children were born.
She attended elementary and secondary school in Jakin, Georgia. Charity joined Newberry African Methodist Episcopal Church at an early age. Later, she moved her membership to Live Oak African Methodist Episcopal Church, working in many capacities. Sister Wynn served faithfully until her health failed. She was a community mother to many and loved by all who passed her way.
Charity Lillian departed her earthly life on Thursday, March 26, 2020, at Early Memorial Nursing Home in Blakely, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Harvey Eugene Wynn, daughter Jessie Mae Wynn, sisters Edna Hopkins Groomes and Dorothy McCray, and brother Herman Jake McCray.
She leaves to cherish her memory a loving daughter, Anna Lois Wynn; one granddaughter, Tara Cumbie; two great grandchildren, JaCarr Greenlaw and JaQuez Jenkins; two great-great grandchildren, Jayla Jenkins and Logan Jenkins; a loving cousin, Jeannette Williams Godwin; two sisters-in-law, Bessie Wynn Stringer and Alma Barber Graham; and several nieces, nephews and godchildren.
