Charlie Holmes Jr.

On September 25, 2016, the Angel of Death called on Brother Charlie Holmes Jr. at his home in Donalsonville, Georgia. His faith was constantly strong, and his hopes were bright.

Charlie Holmes Jr. was born July 26, 1950 to Charlie and Ester Lee Holmes in Miller County, Georgia. He accepted CHRIST at and early age. He joined and was baptized at White Pond Freewill Baptist Church, where he was a faithful member. Charlie was joined in Holy Matrimony to Alice Lee Holmes on July 1, 1972, and they were blessed with 44 years of marriage.

Charlie was preceded in death by parents and two sisters, Christine Holmes Martin and Mable Lee Holmes. He leaves to cherish his memory a loving and devoted wife, Alice Holmes of Donalsonville, GA; one daughter, Teresa Holmes of New Jersey; one granddaughter, Jeresa Washington of Atlanta, GA; one grandson, Savereo Jackson of Atlanta, GA; one sister, Anjenette Williams of Donalsonville, GA; one brother, Earl Holmes of Atlanta, GA; seven sisters-in-law: Lillie Bryant (Claude), Patty Rogers (Ulysee), Annie McCoy (Jimmy), all of Donalsonville, GA, Mildred Rogers of Thomasville, GA, Shirley Lee of Bainbridge, GA, Debra Ann Floyd, and Wanda Floyd (David), both of Pompano Beach, FL; three brothers-in-law: Eddie Lee of Winterhaven, FL, Walter Lee (Mary Alice) of Attapulgus, GA, and Jake Lee (Lois) of Bainbridge, GA; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
