Ms. Charlotte Lucile McCray was born March 27, 1957, in Donalsonville, Georgia, to Dorothy McCray.
She believed in and accepted CHRIST as her SAVIOR at an early age. She joined and attended Antioch Freewill Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Lou Gene Bush. At Antioch she served diligently until the failure of her health.
Charlotte graduated Seminole County High School. She furthered her education at Fort Valley State College (now University), where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education.
Ms. McCray began her teaching career at Seminole County Elementary School thirty years ago. She retired in 2014.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories one dear daughter, Corey Nicole McCray of Donalsonville, Georgia; three loving grandsons: Antonio Marshall, Jr., Andrico Marshall, and Tyus McCray, all of Donalsonville; three great grandsons: Kyvree Marshall, Kayvier Marshall, and Tyson Marshall; one great granddaughter, Ruby A’miah McCray; two siblings, Robert McCary and Dorothy Jean Davis, both of Donalsonville; three nephews: Dendrick Davis of Tallahassee, Florida, Jamaal Davis of Virginia, and Derrick Davis of Thomasville, Georgia; four special friends: Sherry Grooms, Gina Fennell, Mary Hodge, and Rheunnette Haire, all of Donalsonville; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
