April 3, 1943 ~ November 26, 2017 (age 74) 74 Years Old

Brother Clarence Leroy Belcher was born on January 3, 1943, to John Henry and Bertha Lee Belcher. He departed this life on Sunday, November 26, 2017, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, Alabama.

He attended Seminole County Training School, graduating in 1961. He then moved to Miami, Florida, where he resided for more than twenty-five years.

After moving back to Donalsonville, he joined Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. J. Henry Williams. After uniting in Holy Matrimony with Sister Jessie Hodge, he moved his membership to Saint Matthew Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Patrick J. Gilley Sr. and served faithfully until his health began to fail.

Clarence loved to cook, fish and play cards with his family whom he loved dearly. His house was the place to be during holidays, birthdays, and other special days, because he was also an awesome grill master.

He leaves to cherish fond memories a loving and devoted wife, Jessie Belcher; his children: Cassandra Horne (Ronnie) of Colquitt; GA, Rev. Barrett Anthony Coachman (Sharon) of Brewton, AL; Adrienne Mechelle Belcher of Atlanta, GA, Kimberly Robinson of Miami, FL, Emory Copeland of Goulds, FL, Christa Davis (Edrick), and Frederick Smith (Bea), both of Donalsonville, GA; a special granddaughter and great granddaughter whom he loved unconditionally and who resided with him, Jessica Jernay Hicks and Ja’Kayla Renee Hicks; his siblings, Curlie Mae Bowen (Lury) of Miami, FL and Ellen Langford (Hollis) of Langford, FL; a special niece whom he raised, Sharon Belcher; a very special niece who was there til the end, Kim Martin; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Annie Pearl Young, Barbara and Paul Purdy, Allie and Joe Dupree, Viola and Leroy Fedd, Veronica and Jackie Hodge, and Helen Reynolds; a very special friend whom he talked to several times a day, Roosevelt Christian; a host of grands, great grands, other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; the Daniels/Worlds Family; his neighbor with whom he shared a special relationship, Catherine Pugh; and last but not least, Dr. Flossie Daniels, who was his personal nurse that prepared his medication every week because he refused to let anyone else do it.

He was preceded in death by his children Gregory Brown, Darrick DeVon Miles, and Cassandra Smith; his siblings James Belcher (Natalie), Henry B. Belcher (Barbara), John Belcher Jr. (Martha), Joanne Wallace, Earnest Wallace, Betty Jean Brown, Clarita Brown, Leroy Brown, Clayton Brown and Edward Brown; and his brother-in-law, Albert Reynolds.
