Dallas C. ("Coote") Moore

Mr. Dallas C. Moore was born on May 21, 1948, in Donalsonville, Georgia, to Reverend Lynn Eugene Moore and Mrs. Roberta Moore.  He was one of several siblings.  In the tender years of his early childhood at age two, his mother transitioned.  Dallas was nicknamed “Coote” because of his full, loving personality.  He loved to make people laugh.  

Dallas spent much of his young life working in landscaping and in the peanut industry.  In his latter years, he was employed at Harvey’s Supermarket, where he was loved by all for his outstanding personality.

Dallas met Mary Murphy in the early 1970’s, and they were united in Holy Matrimony until her untimely transition in 2021.  In that union came an extended family–NOT STEP, NOT HALF...JUST FAMILY.

In addition to his parents, Dallas was preceded in death by his daughter Sonja Murphy, son Clinton Leon Murphy, granddaughter Lamareshia Murphy, and his brother Charles Moore (Dale).

He departed this earthly life on Sunday, March 5, 2023, at Donalsonville Hospital in Donalsonville, Georgia. 

Dallas leaves his loving memories to his children:  Michelle Scott (Brian),  Meletha Clark, Ronald Moore, Michael Murphy, Tony Murphy, and Dredrick Murphy (Shakesha), all of Donalsonville, GA, Derrick Moore of Houston, TX, and Lamar Murphy (Shanisha) of Macon, GA; siblings–sisters: Gloria Faison of Sanford, FL, Bobbie Jean Donalson of Greenwood, FL, Betty Miller of Tampa, FL, Ivey Henry of Atlanta, GA, Sharon Wimberly of Opa-locka, FL, and Sonya Carson of Bainbridge, GA, and brothers: Jerry Moore, Dennis Crawford, both of Donalsonville, GA, Lynn Moore (Denise) of Boynton Beach, FL, Keith Moore (Ebony) of Green Acres, FL, Amin Rashaad (Dallas) of Miami FL, and Blake Moore of Marianna, FL; and a glorious host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
