Deacon Lee Barber Life and Time

Deacon Lee Earnest Barber was born to the late Charlie C. and Almeta Barber on January 3, 1950, in Donalsonville, Georgia.

Deacon Lee received Christ at an early age and was a member of Rocky Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia, where he served faithfully as a Deacon.

He received his education within the Seminole County School System and later worked for Southeastern Freight Lines as a Pick-up and Delivery Driver for over twenty years. "Fleming" or "Flip", as many knew him, was a selfless man who always enjoyed helping others however he could.  Additionally, he was a master of many trades and an outstanding cook.

He leaves to cherish his memory his sons: Gregory Barber, Napoleon Williams (Karen), and Cedrick Marshall; daughters: Miriam Wilson, Sarah Williams, and La’Ney’shia Wooten (Mark); twenty-eight grandchildren; several great grandchildren; brothers: Charlie Barber (Barbara) and Robert Stewart; sisters: Lucille Martin, Mary Gray, Charlotte Williams (James), and Josephine Stewart; special cousins: James Terry and Larry Barber; and a host of nieces, nephews, other cousins and dear friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Tashella Barber; sons: Charles Barber and Jamie Barber, and grandsons Bryce Williams and Blake Williams.
