Delores Denise ("Dee Dee") Bennett

Delores Denise Bennett, affectionately known as “Dee Dee”, was born August 11, 1972, in Newark, New Jersey, to Jimmy and Lorene Bennett.  She accepted CHRIST at an early age and joined Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church.  She loved THE LORD and trusted in HIM until she answered HIS Call.

She attended Seminole County High School, graduating in 1990.  She later attended George C. Wallace Community College in Dothan, Alabama, obtaining a Certificate in Cosmetology.  Through the years, she was employed by Pizza Hut, Quick & Handy, Hardee’s, Mr. Pipp’s, Purdue, and Elberta Crate & Box Company.  

Dee Dee departed her earthly life on December 5, 2024.  She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, George and Lorene Coleman; paternal grandparents, Betty Jo Jones and Dexter Bennett; a son, Eric Kevontay Gray; uncles: Darryl Bennett, Levy Coleman, Ruben Coleman, Joe Coleman, Raymond Coleman, Charles Coleman, and Floyd Coleman; and aunts: Katherine McDaniel, Annie Sue Hopkins, and Wanda Cohen.

She leaves to cherish her memories her three children:  Marcus Clark of Donalsonville, GA, Ga’Lesa Warren (Jonathan) of Columbus, GA, and Derrion Gray of Bainbridge, GA; four grandkids:  Madison Warren, McKinley Warren, Makenzie Warren, all of Columbus, GA, and Marcus Clark, Jr. of Tallahassee, FL; parents, Jimmy and Lorene Bennett of Donalsonville, GA; grandmother, Eddie Bennett of Donalsonville, GA; aunts:  Brenda Hargrove of Newark, NJ, Loretta Chambers, Katrina Johnson (George), both of Donalsonville, GA, Veatrece Newton (James) of Somerset, NJ, and Dorothy Lewis of  Chicago, IL; a very special friend, James Bynum Sr.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
