Dennis "Cancer" Scott

Dennis “Cancer” Scott was born on August 5, 1954, to Charlie and Evelyn Scott.  He was a native of Donalsonville, Georgia.

Dennis confessed CHRIST as his LORD and SAVIOR.  Although he did not attend church very often, he was a firm believer and loved THE LORD.

Dennis attended the public schools of Seminole County, and he received his GED.  He was a hard worker at Eason Peanut Company in Donalsonville, Georgia.  He also had several odd jobs until his health failed.

On Friday, April 21, 2023, despite the void he knew it would leave, he heard his Call, he answered, and GOD gently took him away.  He was preceded in death by his parents and five of his siblings:  Laverne Shepard, Rossie Scott, Willie Adam Hopkins, Charles Scott, and John Scott.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories two daughters, Lashaunda Hopson of Tampa, Florida, and Rebecca Brown of Donalsonville, Georgia; one stepson, Antonio Marshall of Donalsonville, Georgia; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three sisters:  Evelyn Gail Grigley, Martha F. Graham, and Doris Chrispen (Michael), all of Donalsonville, Georgia; three special nieces:  Stacy Murphy, Carolyn Scott, and Chiquita Shepard-Anderson, all of Donalsonville, Georgia; and a host of additional nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
