Dorothy Thomas was born May 10, 1934, in Donalsonville, Georgia, to Leslie “Buddy” Miller and Rose Brannon Miller. She was the eldest child born to this union.
Dorothy accepted CHRIST into her life. She joined Donalsonville Church of Christ, where she remained a member until death.
Dorothy attended Seminole County public schools in Donalsonville. She began working as a domestic locally until she retired. Dorothy was an avid collector of many things. She was a people-person and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Dorothy was united in marriage to Leroy Thomas for forty-five years. Through this union they had a daughter Annie Brannon Lundy and a son Hugh Brannon; they also raised Jamie Brannon and Jamie Brannon Jr.
Dorothy Thomas departed from her life into Eternity on Saturday, December 26, 2020, at her home in Donalsonville. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother John Miller, her sister Geneva Miller Johnson, her son Amos Brannon and her husband Leroy Thomas.
She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter: Annie Lundy of Brooklyn, NY; her sons: Hugh Brannon of Azie, TX, and Jamie Brannon of Donalsonville, GA; her brother: Leslie Peter Miller of Tallahassee, FL; her three grandchildren: Desiree Scafe, Anthony Scafe, and Alexandria Scafe; her devoted aunt, Mary Jane Brannon; her special loved ones: Frances Davis, Linda Davis, Annie Belle Harris, Barbara Barber and Edna Battle; and a host nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
