Eddie Lee Randolph was born April 2, 1936, in Sylvester, Georgia, to Mr. Sam and Mrs. Lillie Mae Randolph.
He attended public school in Decatur County. Eddie accepted Christ at the age of twelve and joined Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church, located in Whigham, Georgia.
After high school, Eddie joined the United States Air Force, where he served as a Security Forces Officer. He retired in 1982 with the rank of Master Sargeant after twenty-seven years of service. He was active in the Burns-Shivers American Legion Post #502 in Bainbridge, Georgia; he held the office of Adjutant.
Mr. Randolph was employed by Kmart Corporation as Associate Manager of Sporting Goods.
He enjoyed attending church and spending time with his family, friends and beloved pets.
Eddie departed his earthly life on Saturday, August 15, 2020, at Southeast Health Medical Center in Dothan,
Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife, Lauretta S. Randolph of Iron City, Georgia; three children: Erica Kathleen Martin (Terry) of Childersburg, Alabama, Donna Denise Randolph of Birmingham, Alabama, and Edgar Samuel Randolph of Atlanta, Georgia; two stepchildren, David L. Stanyard of Iron City, Georgia, and Melonese D. Close of Fortson, Georgia; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a special friend, Liza Pollard Issac; other relatives; and friends.
