Eugene Murrell, affectionately known as “Geno”, was born in Hollywood, Florida, on February 21, 1968, to Otis and Catherine Murrell. Eugene grew up in Miami, Florida, and attended Carol City High School. Later, he moved to Donalsonville, Georgia, and then to Dothan, Alabama. A go-getter who enjoyed detailing cars, he naturally started his own detailing company, Bumper-to-Bumper Detailing.
He accepted CHRIST as his LORD AND SAVIOR in his life. Geno transitioned peacefully with GOD on October 23, 2024.
Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Otis and Mrs. Catherine Murrell Sr.; grandparents, Mr. Jollie and Mrs. Callie Murrell; uncles, Shane Murrell and Raymond Murrell; aunt, Margaret Koonce; daughter, Zykeriia Murrell; brothers, Harvey Lee and Otis Murrell Jr.; niece, Keacha Watson; and special love, Monica Debose.
He is survived by his son, Johnathan Houston; siblings: Mary Murrell, Marilyn Murrell, Leon Murrell, and Benjamin Murrell (Amelia); uncles, Herman Murrell and Jimmy Murrell; aunt, Dorothy Moore; nephews: Quentin Howard, Tyrone Murrell, and Comer James; nieces: Shemeka Howard, Daphne Murrell, and Marie Graham (Ryan); great nephews: Rick Jackson Jr., D’Jaris Blake, Quadarius Moore, and Tristian Murrell; great nieces: D’Aria Blake, Dasane Pennywell, Raymiona West, Eshanti Murrell, Tyronnica Wade, Mariah Graham, and Aaliyah Murrell; second mother, Ms. Martha Whitrock ; special cousin, Johnny Rollins; special friends, Michael Debose, and Bobby Debose; and a host of additional cousins and friends.
