HARRY HUTCHINS was born to John P. Hutchins, Sr. and Ellafair Bowers Hutchins on April 1, 1948.
He was the second child of four children. Harry grew up in Donalsonville, Seminole County, Georgia.
He graduated from Seminole County Training School in 1966. He furthered his education by attending Fort Valley State College (now University) and graduated with a B. S. in Agronomy. He served in the United States Army for three years, receiving an honorable discharge at the end of his tour of duty. After his discharge, Harry was employed by the federal government as a Soil Scientist. He worked until his health failed.
Harry’s hobbies were growing various fruits and vegetables. He also loved photography.
Harry departed his earthly life on June 28, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother John P. Hutchins II.
He is survived by two sisters, Everlena Hutchins and Ella H. Moore (Donald), both of Donalsonville, Georgia; one sister-in-law, Pinkie Hutchins of Tallahassee, Florida; one niece, Christal Moore of Boston, Massachusetts; three nephews: John P. Hutchins III (Angelique) of Mobile, Alabama, Juan P. Hutchins (Remy), and Jonathan P. Hutchins (Nacia), both of Albany, Georgia; three great nieces; three great nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends
