Jessie Lee (McCormick) Fudge

Jessie Lee McCormick Fudge was born in Colquitt, Miller County, Georgia, on March 5, 1947, to the late Jonathan McCormick and Bessie Lee Grimes. She received her education in Miller County School System. Jessie accepted CHRIST as her SAVIOR at an early age and joined Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Colquitt.

Jessie was united in Holy Matrimony to Willie B. Fudge Sr. on October 4, 1966. Their union was blessed with three children; two of whom, Rhonda and Shonda, preceded her in death.

After graduating high school, she was employed at Donnie Mills for twenty-five years as a Machine Operator.

Jessie was quiet, honest and lovable. She loved life. She was a very caring and loving wife, mother and grandmother, and she was a true friend to all who knew her.

As she was joyfully welcomed by those who had transitioned before her, she left to cherish beautiful and fond memories her loving husband of fifty-one years, Willie B. Fudge Sr. of Donalsonville, GA; son, Willie B. Fudge Jr. (Carolyn) of Cottonwood, AL; a very special granddaughter whom she raised as her own and loved dearly, Jessieca Barber of Donalsonville, GA; four additional grandchildren: Breanna Fudge of Dothan, AL, Antonio Holmes Jr. (Beverly) of Lawton, OK, Willie B. Fudge III, and Malachi Coachman, both of Cottonwood, AL; three great grandchildren: Tristian, Antonio III, and Aaryn; two sisters, Patricia Bush and Arlisha Grimes, both of Colquitt, GA; a very special sister-in-law, Betty Jo Williams of Atlanta, GA; five sisters-in-law; three brothes-in-law; two goddaughters, Bertha Jackson (Earnest) of Donalsonville, GA and Cynthia Grant of Charleston, SC; five godsons: George, Thomas, Anthony, Byron, and Johnny B.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents and two daughters, Jessie was preceded in death by two sisters, Janice Grimes and Ruby Grimes Sims, and three brothers: Jonathan McCormick, Charles McCormick, and Anthony Grimes.
