On Sunday, December 15, 2024, Joe Nathan “PIG” Wallace Sr. transitioned from this life at his earthly home around family and friends in Donalsonville, Georgia, to his new Heavenly Home.
The son of the late Willie B. Wallace Sr. and Lillian Ceasar Wallace, Joe was born June 15, 1953, in Miller County, Georgia. He was one of five children born to the couple. His confession to CHRIST was made at an early age, and he attended church faithfully with his parents and siblings.
Joe attended the public school system of Miller County. He graduated from Miller County High School in Colquitt, Georgia.
Joe later moved from the Miller County area to Seminole County, where he united in Holy Matrimony to the love of his life and longtime devoted wife of 35-plus years, Linda Michelle Wallace. He was a devoted husband and a loving, selfless father to his children–two sons, Joe Wallace Jr. and Mike Wallace, both of Donalsonville, Georgia; and three daughters: Brittany Register of McDonough, Georgia, Kayla Wallace, and Shannon Wallace, both of Donalsonville, Georgia.
A well-known and respected mechanic in the Seminole County area, Joe took his talents to the auto building, where he perfected his craft and skills. He later opened and established the business called Wallace Garage, located in Donalsonville. This allowed him to be readily available to not only provide for his family, but to also meet the needs of his community and all surrounding counties. Joe will forever be remembered for his work, his intuitive nature and all his major accomplishments of doing something he enjoyed and that he loved. He was into farming, drag racing, football, basketball and baseball; and when not enjoying these events, Joe would always be around with the fellas after hours in a meaningful game of playing cards and cutting up with laughter.
