Joeann Smith

Joeann Smith transitioned to meet her LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST on Sunday, April 8, 2018. She was the daughter of Jeff and Geraldine Smith. Joeann was born in Donalsonville, Georgia, on August 11, 1967.

Joeann attended the Seminole County Public School System. She graduated and received her high school diploma from Seminole County High School in 1987.

Joeann and Eric Hopkins shared a life together for thirty-plus years. Out of this union were born four children: Erica, Kendra, Kentavious and Erin.

Joeann loved "Riding" around with her best friend Lucille and her sister "Ms. Mary". Joeann always prayed and had a lot of faith. She accepted CHRIST as her Personal SAVIOR before she departed this earthly life on this past Sunday.

Joeann was preceded in death her father Jeff Smith Sr., brother Andy Smith, maternal grandparents Gaston and Mary Shuler, and paternal grandparents Jeff and Anna Lee Smith.

She leaves behind to cherish her precious memories a loving mother, Mrs. Geraldine Smith of Donalsonville, GA; a loving and devoted soulmate, Eric Hopkins of Donalsonville; two daughters, Erica Hopkins (Lemon) of Donalsonville and Kendra Elijah of Destin, FL; two sons, Kentavious Bush of Atlanta, GA and Erin Hopkins of Donalsonville; six grandchildren; four sisters: Mary Brown, Betty Smith (Deric), Jeanette Brooks (Bobby), and Sandra Cunningham (Marvin), all of Donalsonville; two brothers, Joseph Smith (Barbara) and Jeff Smith Jr. (Christie), both of Donalsonville; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
