A Time to Be Born
Joyce Ford Johnson, the youngest of five children, was born to Brother Brice Ford Sr. and Sister Corene Coachman Ford on July 4, 1953, in Jakin, Georgia.
A Time to Learn
Joyce attended the Early County schools, graduating in the year of 1971. She furthered her education at Albany Technical College in Albany, Georgia.
A Time to Serve
Joyce accepted CHRIST as her SAVIOR at an early age. She was baptized at Bethel AME Church under the leadership of Reverend Robert S. Granger. She served as an Usher for many years at Bethel AME (Cedar Springs Circuit). She worked in production for most of her life and was currently employed for many years at Wayne Farms, where she showed unconditional love to everyone.
A Time to Expire
Joyce answered the call of all loving and slipped away after a short battle on Wednesday, September 4, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved son Terrell Johnson.
A Time to Be Mourn
Joyce leaves loving memories to be treasured by her devoted husband, Michael Johnson of Bainbridge, GA; two sons, Tidell Johnson (Tabitha) of Blakely, GA, and Jermaine Odom (Mactoria) of Bainbridge, GA; seven grandchildren: Ke’Andrez Johnson, Kavon Johnson, Tycavion Stovall, Tykalijah Johnson, Tykayla Johnson, Tyasia Johnson, and Cashton Johnson; two sisters, Doris Grimsley and Mary Ford, both of Jakin, GA; two brothers, Harry Ford (Carrie) of Jakin, and Brice Ford Jr. (Renee) of Albany, GA; sisters-in-law, Kathryn Blanks (Mitchell) of Donalsonville, GA, and Sharon Johnson of Atlanta, GA; brother-in-law, Charlie Johnson of Brinson, GA; a special niece/daughter, Britni Carter; two special nieces, Tracy Ford and Anna McCoy; ten additional nieces; five nephews; and a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends who loved her dearly.
