Mother Ruby P. (Register) Barber

On October 6, 1937, Mother Ruby P. Barber was born to Mr. Frank and Mrs. Henrietta Register.  She was a native of Dothan, Alabama.

She met and married Leroy Barber.  Their union produced six children; two of whom–Leroy Barber Jr. and Angela Fay Barber–preceded her in death.

Mother Barber was a member of Second United Holiness Church.  She served faithfully as the Church Mother until her health declined.

In addition to her parents and two children, she was preceded in death by seven siblings:  Pearlie Barber, Jeanette Brown, Willie Frank Register, Danley Register, Ezekiel Register, Elijah Dawsey, and L. B. Register.  

THE LORD sent an angel to call her Home on Tuesday, January 18, 2022.  

She leaves to cherish her memories a loving husband, Leroy Barber of Donalsonville, GA; four daughters:  Annie Harvey of Americus, GA, Lena Barber (Izell) of Donalsonville, Brenda Barber (Melvin), and Linda Lee of Iron City, GA; eight grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Ever Lee Hention and Patricia Barber, both of Donalsonville; one brother, Mose Register of Bainbridge, GA; two sisters-in-law, Brenda Register of Donalsonville and Betty Register of Columbus, GA; two brothers-in-law, Thomas Barber III and Johnny C. Barber, both of Donalsonville; a special neighbor and friend, Sophie Earnest of Donalsonville; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
