Dusk falls…and I close my eyes to wake to bright
New tomorrow
Gone are… the labors of life, the futility of strife, and the lingering tomorrow of sorrow
Dawn Breaks…and I clearly see a new day of heavenly creation–
fresh with new hope, renewed faith and good cheer, and the promise of eternal salvation.
Ollie Jean Lindsey White was born in Seminole County, Georgia, on February 2, 1937, to the parentage of Herbert Lindsey and Gertrude Jackson Lindsey.
She accepted CHRIST at an early age and joined New Corinth Missionary Baptist Church in Iron City, Georgia. Later she moved to Newark, New Jersey, and joined New Fountain Baptist Church. Upon returning home to Seminole County, Ollie Jean restored her membership with New Corinth, where she served until GOD called her to a Heavenly Home.
She was educated in the public schools of Seminole County and Decatur County. Ollie graduated from Edwards Waters College, Jacksonville, Florida, receiving her Certification as a Seamstress. She worked for John B. Sanfilippo & Son, Inc. in Bainbridge, Georgia, until her retirement.
To GOD be the Glory for a Ministry of Love HE placed in Ollie. She truly loved her children, family and others. She nurtured other children and provided them a home when they didn’t have a home of their own. She was compassionate, and a Loving friend to all who knew her.
