A Time to Be Born: Roberta Moore Austin, affectionately known as “Ro”, was born November 17, 1968, in Donalsonville, Georgia. Her parents were Mr. Charles Moore and Mrs. Dale Evans Moore.
A Time to Be Educated: She received her primary and secondary education in Donalsonville through the Seminole County School System. Roberta graduated Seminole County High School in the Class of 1987. She furthered her education by receiving her CNA certification from college.
A Time to Worship: Roberta gave her life to THE LORD at an early age. She was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church of Donalsonville. She would also visit her sister’s church, Christian Community Church of Donalsonville.
A Time to Love: Roberta met and wedded a loving man, John A. Austin. The two were married for ten years.
A Time to Work: She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Panama City, Florida, and Chipley, Florida, for many years. She was employed with Sacred Heart -Bay Medical Hospital in Panama City, Florida.
A Time to Die: Roberta departed her earthly life on Tuesday morning, July 2, 2024, at Courtyard Healthcare Center in Marianna, Florida.
A Time to Mourn: Roberta leaves to cherish her precious memories her loving husband, John A. Austin, Sr., of Selma, AL; three sons: Kenneth Moore of Tallahassee, FL, Jermaine Johnson of Panama City, FL, and Tyrel Judson of North Carolina; four stepchildren: Jemetta Austin, John A. Austin Jr., Johntavious Austin, all of Birmingham, AL, and Kimberly Holiday of Atlanta, GA; four grandchildren; sister, Pastor Debra Hudson of Donalsonville; six brothers: Gary Moore (Luretha), Edward Moore, Eddie Moore (Cslean), Darin Moore, all of Donalsonville, Bernard Moore (Vanessa) of Troy, AL, and Tarus Moore (Jessica) of Douglas, GA; four aunts: Willie Florence Harris (Eddie), Betty Miller, both of Tampa, FL, Gloria Moore of Sanford, FL, and Bobbie Donaldson of Malone, FL; six uncles: Pastor Jerry Moore, Dennis Crawford, both of Donalsonville, Blake Moore of Malone, FL, Lucious Moore of Miami, FL, Lynn Moore, and Keith Moore, both of Hollywood, FL; three sisters-in-law: Cassie Levins of Birmingham, AL, Thelma Brooks of Selma, AL, and Helen Barnes of Hattiesburg, MS; three brothers-in-law: Jesse Barnes (Shirley), Alex Austin (Belinda), both of Selma, AL, and Andrew Austin (Rev. Alice) of Freeport, Long Island, NY; a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
