Thomas Jeffery Smith

Deacon Thomas Jeffery Smith, 57, of Donalsonville, Georgia, went Home to be with THE LORD on August 19, 2023, at Donalsonville Hospital.  He was born December 9, 1965, in Donalsonville to Betty Jean Smith and Eddie Grimes.  He accepted CHRIST at an early age.  Later in life, he joined Second United Holiness Church.

Thomas attended the public school system of Seminole County, graduating Seminole County High School in the Class of 1984.  He worked many years at American Peanut Growers Group (APGG), Inc. in Donalsonville.

Deacon Smith will be missed by those who loved and knew him.  He was preceded in death by his mother Betty Jean Smith; grandparents M. L. and Irene Smith; sisters Sheila Smith, Deborah Jones Towles and Beverly Smith; aunts Betty Jo Jones, Betsy Bivens, Mill Smith, Ada Smith and Christine Smith; and uncle Gary Smith.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Gwendolyn Lee Smith; three daughters: Erica Graham (Brandon), Crystal Phalo (Dion), and Latoria Homes (Darien); two sons, John Brown and Tron Henderson; two stepchildren, Mercedes Caine and Jaquez Caine; three grandchildren: T’yonna Graham, Paris Graham, and Braylen Graham; sister, Mary Jane Smith; brother, William Jones (Angela); mother-in-law, Janet Williams (Calvin); four sisters-in-law; five brothers-in-law; three aunts:  Marene Smith, Evelyn Smith, and Helen Smith; special friend, Gary Glynn; and a host of cousins and additional friends.
