Mr. Tony B. Murphy was born on March 17, 1968, in Morgan, Georgia, to Lamar Murphy Sr. and the Late Mary Moore. To this union were born several other siblings. He departed this earthly life on Sunday, May 25, 2023.
In the tender years of his early childhood, Tony received CHRIST. Tony used his relationship with THE LORD to minister to family, friends, and youth. He loved children and devoted many years and much of his time to coaching and ministering to them. Tony loved football. He went to school in Edison, Calhoun County, Georgia. Tony also played football at Valdosta State College (now University). He used his love of football to coach the youth football teams to victory.
Tony was a loving, caring, and giving man who went above and beyond for his FAMILY, which was EVERYTHING! NOT STEP, NOT HALF..JUST FAMILY...
Tony was preceded in death by his mother Mrs. Mary Moore, stepfather Mr. Dallas Moore, brother Leon Murphy, sister Kameshia Murphy and Sonja Murphy, and loving niece Lamareshia Murphy.
Tony leaves his loving memories to his children– daughter, Ayante’ Murphy, and sons, Tony Murphy Jr. and Keilyn Murphy; grandchildren, Zayden George and Carlos Murphy; father, Lamar Murphy Sr. (Sherry); siblings–sisters: Montavia Williams (Glenn), Tara Murphy, and Michelle Scott (Brian), and brothers: Lamar Murphy Jr. (Shanisha), Dredrick Murphy (Shakesha), Michael Murphy, Ronald Moore, and Derrick Moore; aunts and uncles who were an outstanding part of his “Village”; and a glorious host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and youth who adored him.
