Mr. William Johnson was born on November 8, 1943, to Jessie Johnson and Ollie Jean Johnson in Donalsonville, Georgia.
On Wednesday, January 26, 2022, he went home to be with THE LORD at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in Tallahassee, Florida, after a sudden illness.
He was married to his wonderful wife Minnie Lee Johnson for fifty-one blessed years. To this union three beautiful daughters were created. William was not a member of any denomination, but he confessed his life to CHRIST.
Mr. William, affectionately known as “Jay”, was a wonderful Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Uncle, and Father-in-Law. He enjoyed fishing, and he loved wrestling. His occupation was a farmer for many years. He also loved telling jokes and making people laugh.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter Carolnette Johnson; seven brothers, and three sisters.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Minnie Lee Johnson of Brinson, GA; three daughters: Juanita Johnson of Donalsonville, GA, Latonigi Genoux of Tampa, FL, and Jennifer Johnson (Eugene) of Brinson, GA; eight grandchildren: Alexis Ann Johnson of Warner Robins, GA, Latisha Cosby Johnson of Bainbridge, GA, Shavante Cawthon (Eric) of Blakely, GA, Denetris Johnson of Attapulgus, GA, Darrien Smith, Tywanna Harris, Phillip Smith, and Lamar Johnson, all of Donalsonville, GA; six great grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Eddie Wade and Willie Wade, both of Donalsonville, GA; and two sisters-in-law, Carrie Ferguson of Donalsonville, GA, and Odessa Johnson of Bainbridge, GA. He also leaves one special son-in-law/son who held a very special place in his heart, Eugene Byrd of Brinson, GA, as well as a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and sorrowing friends.
