Brother Willie James Williams was born March 14, 1953 in Donalsonville, Georgia, to the late Mr. Young Charles and Mrs. Ella V. Williams. He was one of four children; all of his siblings–namely, Leroy Williams, Willie Bell Murrell and Dorothy Williams–preceded him in death.
James joined Wesley Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church at a young age. He attended the public school system of Seminole County, Georgia, graduating Seminole County High School. Willie James worked as a farmer for many years.
"Big James", as he was affectionately known, answered the Call from Labor to Reward at his home in Iron City, Georgia, on Sunday night, May 13, 2018. He will be sorely missed by his nephews, nieces, uncles, aunt and friends whom he loved wholeheartedly and unreservedly.
He leaves to cherish his memories his nephews Benjamin Williams, Michael Murrell and Mitchell Murrell, nieces Kathy Haire, Crystal Cooper (Demetrius), Laura Mitchell-Clarke, Melody Lewis and Annie Murrell; sister-in-law Beatrice Williams, all of Iron City, Georgia; uncles Jimmie Neal (Claretha), Sylvester Neal and Willie Neal, aunt Rosa Neal, special cousin Lana Burr, all of Bainbridge, Georgia; his loving companion Equilla Allen, special friends Jessie White and Bill Quick, all of Iron City; and a host of other cousins and friends.
